KISS...(The DUH!!! test)
KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID
WE...AMERICANS...are moving rapidly from a 75 year old"OIL based energy economy"... into...a"WATER based energy economy"...key word here..."RAPIDLY"....did I SAY...RAPIDLY....YES!!! ...."RAPIDLY"!
If I were a free wheeling capitalist...I would put all my investments into desalination and water purifying technology stocks...and I would WIN BIG....thats a fact.
USA is surrounded by and run through with fantastic water resourcesbut we are running dry...the aquafirs are all in trouble...and "water thirsty" alternative fuel GREEN energy production hasn't evenbegun YET!!!....and ....IT HAS TO BEGIN SOON....we have no no choice in this matter.....OIL IS already in deep DoDo as a futuretransportation and home heating fuel supplier....now our NATURAL American WATER supplyis also in trouble...so...we in Delaware must make a plan.
Estimates (I believe)...say there were 3 trillion barrels of oil under the earth from the "get go". ONE trillion of which can never be harvested (reached) ONE trillion we already used up as of this writing...leaving ONE trillion left to burn onthis OIL thirsty planet then ...NO more....get it...we already used up as much as there is left under the earth to use (and that was before Africa, India, China started issuing drivers licensesseriously)WE ARE RUNNING ON LOW !!!
"SO FOLKS...what the hell are we going to do about it"????? says Chicken LITTLE.
$96.00 per barrel today....$120....is not far away...if you think we fight stupid wars over oil in the MidEast...wait till you see the stupid fightsover water....DUH! ..and don't say I didn't tell ya..
Tommie
An INDEPENDENT
"pain in the butt" for Delaware.

An Article About Me and Ethanol 85

Ethanol and Alternative Fuels. . . Are They New Ideas?
  Alyson D. Poppiti, DCP
  Programs Director

On Wednesday, September 19, 2007, Thomas L. Little, Esquire spoke to forty DPA members about ethanol, alternative fuels and their effects on the environment and environmental law at the Sheraton Suites in Wilmington. Thomas L. Little (or Tommie) is a Delaware attorney who currently teaches business law at Wesley College in Dover but has a passion for ethanol and the opportunity to wean the United States off of foreign oil. Just on the day of the DPA Lecture Luncheon, there was a front page headline that oil had hit its highest price per barrel in the history of buying oil. Tommie spent twelve years living in Africa teaching and just recently moved back to Delaware. Shortly after Tommie had returned to Delaware, he received a phone call from Speaker of the House Terry R. Spence requesting that Tommie assist with writing and drafting a few bills for the legislature. Thus, Tommie drafted House Resolution 70 which would free the United States from its dependency on oil from the Middle East. Hearings on this resolution were held for two weeks with representatives from DNREC testifying as well as other experts on the issue. One interesting fact is that there is no difference between oil and Jack Daniels due to the fact that they contain the same elements. According to studies, there are only about 70 years left of oil in the ground and because of this it could definitely
be possible to see oil rationing in our lifetime if we continue to use oil at the rate that we are using it now. And then if you add in China (with its population of 2 billion) this time frame could be decreased. With this in mind, it is clear to see that it is crucial that we find an alternative to oil.

The ethanol phenomenon has already started in other areas such as in Brazil. Brazil has already started using ethanol for gas and produces ethanol from sugar cane. In addition, BP Petroleum is currently working with DuPont on a project to produce a biobutanol plant in the United Kingdom. Biobutanol is made from agricultural products rather than petroleum and like ethanol it has an alcohol compound. One difference with biobutanol is that it has a different chemical structure which gives its several advantages over ethanol itself. This biobutanol plant's main goal would be to boost fuel yield through the use of feedstocks.

House Bill 34 which was presented to the legislature will give one million dollars to DNREC. Then DNREC will allow ten voluntary gas stations to be established to pump E85. The proposal calls for 10 pumping stations of E85 in Delaware - three in Sussex County, three in Kent County, three in New Castle County and one in the City of Wilmington. During these hearings oil companies refused to testify although the use of E85 would in the long run benefit them. Ten percent of ethanol is now required to be present in Delaware gas pumps. Currently, all race cars use ethanol. Prior to the passing of the 18 th Amendment, ethanol is what all cars burned. The 18 th Amendment then banned alcohol and thus ethanol was disregarded as a fuel. After the 18 th Amendment was annulled, oil was already instituted as a fuel for cars. To fuel one's car using just ethanol,
cars would have to be adjusted by changing the corroborator as well as the gas gasket. This cost would be approximately $200.00, which is very manageable. It is essential that we have an alternative to oil and this use of ethanol is a good start. Right now, House Bill 34 is still in the Finance Committee at Delaware Legislature. If you would like to assist with weaning us off of the use of foreign oil and to the use of ethanol, please call
your State Representative and State Senator and request that they support this important bill. Due to Tommie's talk, we DPA members were enlightened to what ethanol can do to help the environment. This is one issue that will not go away and will increase in importance with each passing day. Tommie will not let this issue go away and will keep the issue to the forefront since he is running for Lieutenant Governor as an Independent
Party candidate.

Just Thinking....

Sometimes I need a break...campaigning is tough work...So here is a poem I just wrote...JUST THINKING...about THINKING!!!
Ever notice..
the young are blamed ferociously as... never clever... for ALWAYS taking shortcuts asan easy way out?
THEN>>>
Ever notice... The old are framed as precocious AND
ever clever...
for making shortcuts asan easy way out? Did I miss something HERE?
What's the difference?

" I have been shot at...stabbed. cut and run through...I have been charged by angry elephants...confronted by both a lion and a black mamba face to face in the wild; fought the largest toughest men on the face of the earth with my bare hands; was knocked out COLD by both cerebal malaria and malnutition and I do not remember feeling fear...I know it was there somewhere but it must have manifested laterafter the event was over. Sunday afternoon Imet fear face to face! My daughter Kelly talked me intovolunteering for a musical Tom Sawyer at theChildren's Theater..the director gave methe part as Judge Thatcher (Becky's father)...Sunday was the opening...it was the first time in my whole life Ifelt scared ... my KNEES WERE KNOCKING right on STAGE, when I began my lines- and I had to press them together in hopes thatthe audience wouldn't see my pants shaking...I got through it Ok ...WHAT AN OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE FOR ME....AND >>>> then meeting both THE KIDS AND THE ADULTS ....WOW...imagine me??? learning both courage and humility at my age and them voluntarily learningit at such early ages...I salute them all...best kids I ever met...taught me many lessons in humility ...and the director...Hummmmmmmm....she's my new scary LION Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....taught me courage....OORAH!!!! BRING ON THOSE POLITICALDEBATES....I'M READY!!!!!! Tommie Little The INDEPENDENT for Lt. Gov.
